Evangelism Outreach
One of Misgana Ministries’ priorities is to reach our community and the surrounding areas for Jesus. In this predominantly Muslim and Orthodox Christian area, sharing the Good News is of utmost importance. In addition to expanding our local church we also want to support outreach efforts to towns and villages around us, especially those with no existing evangelical church. Although poorly paid, our local church has a couple of evangelists who are working hard to bring the word to two remote villages. One of those villages is Bochessa, where Loving Shepherd Ministries has been focusing its efforts. In Bochessa we have recently begun Sunday church services. Although the “church building” is constructed of the most basic materials and has a dirt floor, attendance is growing and more and more people are giving their lives to Jesus. The second village is Gobajocha, a village so remote and over such rough terrain that it can be reached faster by bicycle than by car. In Gobajocha, a small congregation has been raised up by a Meserete Kristos evangelist. Amazingly, the Muslim husband of one of the church members donated a prime piece of land to build the church building. A very basic mud building has been constructed on the site. Eventually we would like to build a proper church building for them.
