Lifesong — Ukraine

Many children live in orphanages and have no hope of ever being adopted. Lifesong (LS) provides for these children in the following ways:

Improving Living Conditions. Through financial support and mission teams, LS provides basic needs: food, clothing, bedding, orphanage facility renovations, and medical supplies for hospitals and clinics.

Orphan Care UkraineConstant Christian Presence (CCP). In order to provide Biblical training, LS hires national Christians who work in several government-run orphanages on a full-time basis. In each orphanage, LS renovates a room supplied with books, games, and videos where children can come to learn in a comfortable and safe environment. Appropriately, these rooms are titled 'room of hope and trust'.

There are currently more than 1,000 children being mentored through the CCP program. There are also several children being housed in foster care homes in the Izume area through former CCP couples.

Job Skill Training. To prepare the children for their future role in society, LS provides practical training with farm animals and equipment, sewing machines, baking equipment, and computer labs.

Orphan Care UkraineGraduate Program. To transition successfully into adult life, graduates need the support and accountability a church family provides. LS provides transitional housing and encourages lasting relationships with weekly Bible studies, counseling, and transportation to church activities.
